Personalised Chocolates for All Occasions!

FAQ’s and Terms and Conditions

I am worried about allergies.  What can you tell me?

The chocolate contains sugar, cocoa butter, milk powder, cocoa mass, emulsifier and soya lecithin.  In addition, the chocolate may contain traces of nuts as it is produced in a factory which deals with nuts.

What chocolate is available?

The standard 10g and 35g bars I use are made from Belgian milk chocolate from right here in the UK.  I can honestly say that they are delicious and have even had parents comment that they are too nice for children! I am also able to provide fair trade, dark, white and mint chocolate for larger orders, although the price does increase.  Please ask for a quote if you would like something different for your event.

How much does it cost?

That depends upon the size and quantity of the chocolates you are ordering.  The standard Belgian milk chocolate bars start at 60p for the 10g bars and £1.50 for the 35g bars, but the price goes down as the quantity increases. Other types of chocolate will be more expensive.  Please note that the cost of delivery is in addition to the cost of the chocolate bars, and there are extra charges for photos, logos and individual bar personalisation.

As a guide, 1-9 35g bars cost £1.50 each, 10-24 cost £1.40 each, 25-49 cost £1.30 each, 50-99 cost £1.20 and over 100 cost £1.10 each. 10g bars cost 60p each for orders up to 250, then reduce to 55p each.

How much notice do you need for an order?

This depends upon the size of the order.  If you want up to 25 bars, I should be able to get them to you within 10 days of agreeing a design with you. For larger orders, I prefer more notice. Please don’t forget that I do take the odd holiday and may not be around when you first contact me, so please don’t leave it to the last minute expecting me to be there! Also, I do like to ensure that you are as happy as possible with your design, so please contact me well in advance of your event if possible to give us time to play around with colours and fonts etc. If you are placing a large order for a wedding or conference, I would ideally like at least two months notice.

How do I place an order?

Please fill in the contact form for a quote, letting me know the number of bars you want, the design and the wording you want on the front and the back. I will then e-mail you a quote, including delivery. When we have agreed on terms, I will send you an invoice and ask for full payment in advance prior to any work being carried out on your wrappers.

What happens next?

Once you have paid, I will then e-mail you a draft design. I ask you to check the wording on the draft to confirm they are correct before I print them as I cannot be held responsible for any mistakes once printing has commenced. When the chocolate bars are ready, I will then deliver them to you by the agreed method.

Can I include a photo or logo?

Yes! If you can send me your image by jpeg, I can incorporate it into the design.  I also have software which allows me to isolate elements of a photograph, such as a face, so as to remove unwanted parts of a photo.  So if you have a favourite picture of the birthday boy or girl, let me have it! I do make an additional charge for this – £2 per image for up to 50 bars and £5 per image for over 50 bars.

Are there any images I can’t have?

Unfortunately, any image which is covered by copyright cannot be used so please don’t ask for Bob the Builder or your favourite Disney character as I will have to say no!

I would like to have the chocolates as place cards for my wedding.  Is this possible?

Definately! The chocolate bars look wonderful on the table instead of namecards. I can personalise each chocolate wrapper within your order for a small extra fee of 10p per name.

How do you deliver the chocolates and how much does it cost?

This depends upon where you live.  If you are near to Coventry, you are welcome to collect them from me or, for a small delivery charge of £3, I will deliver within 5 miles of my address. For orders further afield, orders are either sent by 1st class post, or by courier, depending upon the weight of the order and are charged at cost plus packaging costs.

The chocolates are packaged in double walled boxes, with bubble wrap if appropriate, as I always send them out in perfect condition and want them to arrive in perfect condition.  As chocolate is perishable, I recommend that someone is available to take delivery of your order and for that reason, sometimes it is best to deliver to a work address or that of a family member who will be at home. I do not recommend that your order is left outside or anywhere warm as the chocolate can be damaged by changes in temperature and weather. I cannot be held responsible for any damage caused in transit or by the weather or if your parcel has been left unattended at your delivery address.

If you fail to collect an order which was undeliverable by the delivery courier, you will be responsible for any further postage charges.

What if I want to cancel my order?

As each order is made specifically for each customer, you are only entitled to a full refund if no personalisation work has been undertaken at the date you cancel.  If I have drafted your wrapper, you will be charged a £5 admin fee to cover my time. Once the chocolate wrappers have been printed then you will only be entitled to a part refund at my discretion depending upon the specific circumstances including whether or not I have wrapped the bars and how late in the day the cancellation is received.

What if I am not happy with my order?

I am confident that you will be delighted with your order as I take great pride in my work and use only quality products.  To date I have received no complaints whatsoever! However, should you be dissatisfied, please inform me in writing within 7 days and I shall make every effort to rectify the problem if it is within my control.
